Join the Paul Sawyier Public Library for an evening of fibs, fabrications, and flat-out fiction!
Who?
All ages may enter.
Youth Division - 17 and under
Adult Division - 18 and up
How?
Enter by putting your name in our "Liar's Hat" beginning at 5:30pm. Contestants will be drawn at 6:00pm, and up to 10 "liars" may tell. The "lies" should be short stories 3-5 minutes in length. No notes or reading aloud are permitted. You must tell your “lie”! You should be the main character of your tale, and subject matter should be family friendly. And remember… the more exaggerated the better!
What can I win?
Prizes will be awarded by decision of our judges' panel. Contestants will be judged on technique, story development, originality, and effectiveness. Judges' decisions are final. Winners will be chosen in the following categories: Youth Division, Adult Division, and Crowd Favorite (so be sure to bring your friends along to cheer you on!)
