Arrive as a student, leave as a future Certified Bourbon Steward!
Bourbon Women - it's time to hit the books. Join us for a Bourbon cram session at Moonshine University to prep for your Certified Bourbon Steward Exam. Whether you are studying for your Stave & Thief Bourbon certification or simply interested in expanding your whiskey knowledge, Bourbon Women has you covered. Back by popular demand, we will be offering this session twice this year!
The study group session guided by members of your Bourbon Women Board of Directors, includes a flight exercise led by bourbon author and expert, Susan Reigler. You'll start off the night preparing your palate with samples of products from our sponsor, Willett Distillery!
Recommended dress is library cozy - that's right, yoga pants and college sweatshirts are permissible at this party.
Your ticket will include:
Your very own Bourbon Steward handbook,
Certified Bourbon Steward test code,
Study Hall Snacks,
Samples from our sponsor, Willett Distillery and
Hands on flight-building exercise with Susan Reigler
The Bourbon Steward certification is a self-study program for bourbon enthusiasts and professionals. This in-depth program is designed to promote whiskey knowledge, confidence and accuracy.
What you'll learn:
What makes a bourbon a bourbon, and how it is different from other whiskies.
The science of distilling and aging.
Identify Kentucky’s heritage brands and which distilleries produce them.
Build a flight of 3 bourbons demonstrating the relationship among the products, describing their characteristics and nuances with nosing and tasting notes.
Accurate bourbon history, including Kentucky’s role in its creation.
Imagine how impressed your friends, family and future employers will be when you tell them you are a graduate of Moonshine University. Don’t procrastinate. Buy your tickets early and claim your seat in the front of the class.
