We STRONGLY encourage you to prepare ahead of time to take your placement test because your scores will determine what classes you will be able to take during your first semester, and beyond. Please take the placement test seriously. Being properly prepared can save you time and money! A student should plan on being on campus for at least two hours.

What to bring the day of testing:

A photo ID is required to take the test (government-issued ID or student ID)

If you have ACT, SAT, COMPASS or KYOTE scores that exempt you from taking any portion of the test, please bring a copy of those scores with you to the testing session.  Simply submitting your high school transcript to the admissions office does not guarantee your scores will be loaded into our database.  If you do not bring scores with you, you will be REQUIRED to take all three portions of the placement test.

For the math Placement test you can use a calculator. Students may use any four-function, scientific, or graphing calculator with the exception of: calculators with built-in or downloaded computer algebra system functionality including, TI-89 or TI-92 and the TI-Nspire CAS (the TI-Nspire non-CAS is permitted). We do have basic four-function calculators that you can use if you need one.
