Course description: Participants will gain a thorough understanding of how Motivational Interviewing principles and techniques can be applied to any client population to decrease resistance and increase positive life changes. The course will include experiential "real plays", lectures and videos.
This is a FOUR PART TRAINING to be taken in sequence. For registration purposes it has been set up as one registration with the expectation that you will particiapte in all four sessions. By registering for this set you will be automatically enrolled in the three other dates for the session.
For 2019, CEs are approved with the KY Boards of SW, MFT, ADC and LPC. Attending all 4 sessions will provide 19 CEs with approved Boards. Any date changes may affect these approvals.
Please note the dates for the first series beginning March 29, 2019:
Part 1: March 29, 9:00am - 5:00pm; Part 2: April 5, 1:00pm - 5:00pm; Part 3: April 12, 1:00pm - 5:00pm; and Part 4: April 26, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Please note the dates for the second series beginning July 12, 2019:
Part 1: July 12, 9:00am - 5:00pm; Part 2: July 18, 1:00pm - 5:00pm; Part 3: July 26, 1:00pm - 5:00pm; and Part 4: August 2, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
