Sensual Bachata Workshops Feat. Chelsey Owen of Meraki Dance Company

New Horizons is helping Louisville step up their dance game!! For those of us with busy weekly schedules here is a perfect opportunity to get in some high quality instruction on a Saturday!! We have our very own Chelsey Owen starting out a summer series of workshops before our dance socials!
Below are the descriptions of the two workshops we will be hosting.
5pm Sensual Bachata Isolation Work:
- This workshop is all about appropriately exercising muscle control and body awareness to safely and precisely lead/follow sensual bachata body isolations. Dive into the technical concepts and experience dancing your body isolations in new ways!
6:10pm Intermediate Bachata Partnerwork:
- This workshop focuses on learning the proper technique and execution for the lead and follow of an intermediate bachata partnerwork pattern. Lets get fun and funky with high level body isolations and turn patterns!

Workshops/Social package $35 *****EARLY BIRD PACKAGE ONLY $30 MUST BE PURCHASED BEFORE 5/24/19
Includes both workshops and entry to social where there will also be an all levels bachata class @ 8pm
Individual workshops $20 each (does not include entry into social) DAY OF SOCIAL CAN BE PURCHASED AT DOOR--CASH ONLY

Chelsey Owen:
With a 10+ year background as an elite international competitor in Tae Kwon Do, Chelsey’s transition into dancing was rapid and seamless. She began her dance training in ballroom in 2011, four years later honing in on salsa and bachata through rigorously training throughout the United States with a variety of internationally renowned coaches. In 2017, Chelsey formed Meraki Dance Company of which she is owner and director. She and her teams travel across North America to teach and perform.
