Q: What is Wait No More?
A: Wait No More is a FREE one-day event that will help you understand God's heart for vulnerable children in foster care. Attendees learn more about foster care and adoption, and practical ways you can support adoptive and foster families. To learn more visit www.WaitNoMore.org.
Q: What will I be doing?
A: We have a variety of volunteer roles to help with the event such as registration, greeting, food serving, setting up and more! When you register you can select the areas you would like to help with.
Q: What roles and times are needed?
A: We have a variety of volunteer roles and times for serving.
Event Set Up - 11am-3pm
Greeting - 5pm-7pm
Registration/Check-In - 5pm-7pm
Meal Service - 5pm - 6:30pm
Focus on the Family Information Table - 7pm-9pm
Tear Down and Clean Up - 8pm-9pm
Q: Will I be able to attend the event?
A: We can be flexible, but it is important to note that the volunteer roles are before, during and after the event. If you are interested in attending the main session or breakout sessions, please let us know and we will see what we can do.
Q: How important is it that I arrive at training time?
A: Very important! We will be checking in most volunteers at 4:30pm for mandatory training. Please allow time for parking and getting to the entrance. Please note, you can register to help with set up which would have a earlier start time.
Q: How late will I need to stay?
A: This is adjustable, however we do need help from 4:30pm through 9pm as well as set up earlier in the day.
Q: Will there be food?
A: YES! We will be providing light refreshments.
Q: How will I know where to go? Or who is my contact?
A: Once you sign up, we will be sending you a couple confirmation emails with all the information you need. And if you ever have any questions you can always contact us at: helen.parks@fotf.org
