Susan Layne Pottery

Description

Susan was born in Lexington, KY, and raised in Morehead. She attended college at Morehead State University and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Studio Art. She focused on photography, painting, and ceramics. Susan and her family moved to Virginia in 2010 and Susan studied with different ceramic artists there. Susan Layne Pottery was officially started in 2013 when Susan bought her own wheel and kiln and began selling pottery in the area. Fulfilling a long-term goal, Susan and her family moved back to her home state of Kentucky in 2015. Her passion in her work with clay is to make art that adds to life.
