Dr. Marc J. Salzman, MD, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Louisville, Kentucky since 1992. Initially from Miami, Florida, Dr. Salzman finished his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, obtaining both Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi accolades. Shortly after graduating from college in three years, he received his medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans where he was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society graduating at the top of his class. He then accomplished a five year residency in General Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City as well as obtained Board Certification in General Surgery in 1990. His Plastic Surgery Fellowship was finished at the prestigious Duke University Medical School in 1992. He is also licensed in Plastic Surgery ever since 1994 and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Salzman has always been interested in education. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Louisville, where he teaches residents in Plastic Surgery grand rounds twice a month. His residents have twice voted him Educator of the Year.
