Downtown Recording is a Full Service Professional Grade Recording Studio located in the Heart of Downtown Louisville.

For over Twenty Years, Downtown Recording has been THE studio in Louisville for National Touring Acts when they are in town and want to record. We have worked with countless Major Artists such as: Leon Russell, My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Feist, Cat Power, The Goo Goo Dolls, Staind, Matisyahu, Dead Child, The Ohio Players, Static, Duke Robillard, Tim Krekel, and hundreds of Local Louisville Artists.
Owner and Founder Nick Stevens was trained as a Producer and Recording Engineer by Legendary Engineer Bill Porter the Head Engineer at Nashville's Studio B during it's heyday in the 1960's. Nick has produced and Engineered records with Ken Scott, Richie Havens, Wilson Pickett, and MANY MORE.
Downtown Recording also provides it's services for Commercial Work and Advertising writing jingles for McDonalds, Monday Night Football, McAllister's Deli, and thousands more.
