A&S Sealcoating

Sealcoating is the process of applying a protective layer of sealant over your asphalt to prevent oxidation. Oxidation occurs when the sun's UV rays penetrate the asphalt and break down the binder that holds the pavement together, causing it to dry out and become brittle. This can lead to cracks, potholes, and other types of damage over time. To put it into a metaphor, sealcoating is like applying sunscreen to your skin. Just as sunscreen protects your skin from the damaging effects of the sun, sealcoating protects your asphalt from the harmful effects of UV rays. Without proper protection, your asphalt can become cracked and damaged, just like your skin can become burnt and damaged without sunscreen.
