The Imagine Brown Bag Lunch Series provides essential information, expertise, and best practices on a wide range of topics to advance Greater Louisville’s arts and cultural community. This series arose from Imagine Greater Louisville 2020 and is designed to both build capacity as well as empower attendees with critical information and skills.
Join your colleagues on the last Friday of the month at the Frazier History Museum to learn from and engage with experts in resource development, capacity building, marketing, and more. Imagine Brown Bag Lunches Series is a free event and you’re encouraged to bring your lunch.
This month, learn from professional grant writers Juliann Morris and Ashley Byrum as they lead a workshop that will help participants gain an understanding of the grants process, learn how to develop a grant proposal, and give tips on where to find grant opportunities.
About Julian MorrisJuliann Morris left her job as a reporter at a daily newspaper in South Carolina to return to her home state of Kentucky and pursue a new career path helping others, particularly youth, as a grant professional with Bullitt County Public Schools. In 2015, she became a grant developer at Jefferson County Public Schools and considers it a privilege to work in a field that helps break down barriers to success for students. She has written hundreds of successful grants with awards totaling more than $10 million.
About Ashley ByrumSince 2009 Ashley has worked as a grant writer for several Kentucky public school districts, including Spencer County Public Schools and Bullitt County Public Schools.
